“We are Lyman Strong” -Lyman, SC was incorporated on 1954. The town was renamed Lyman in honor of Arthur T. Lyman, president of Pacific Mills president from 1900 to 1915, and was incorporated with that name in 1954.
Our “Main St.” is Groce Rd named after Augustus Belton Groce, who in the mid 1870’s opened Groce’s Stop. 
Since then we continue to grow and be a residence for a diverse community  and housing abundance as a new generation enters into it and the workforce.
