The Lyman Citizen Empowerment Course
The Lyman Citizen Empowerment Course was designed and created as a response to a campaign promise made by Marc Garcia 2021 Mayoral Candidate to the town of Lyman.
It is a course that is designed to empower the Lyman Citizen to comprehend a little more the importance of local government and the role that local government plays in our daily lives. As well as how the local citizen can get involved in not only local government but in our community.
Each class has a downloadable worksheet and each class ends with a VERY simple quiz. The goal of these two items is not to cause stress in passing but to help you retain important information from the class. Each quiz is no more than 3 questions with hints to help you recall.
Cost: $0
No it is not. It is a creation based on more than 240 hours of research of state law and the completion of the Municipal Association of South Carolina training that Dr. Marc paid for during his campaign. Much care was taken to assure that the statements made are factual and are backed by town ordinance as well as county and state law.
The course is not sanctioned by the state or municipality, however we feel that a certificate is a sign of dedication and accomplishment - so yes. Once you have completed the course we will email you a certificate. Certificates will only be sent to LYMAN citizens - this will require you share your address.
Yes you can, however keep in mind many of the items mentioned only pertain to the town of lyman. The principals that are derived from Federal or State law will pertain to you if you live in South Carolina OR the USA.
